Beaman Family, Dessert
1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 t. vanilla
1 egg, unbeaten
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 t. baking powder
1 t. salt
Cream butter to consistency of mayonnaise.
Add sugar gradually while continuing to cream.
Add vanilla and egg; beat until light.
Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt; blend in.
Chill.
Bake at 325 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
Makes 1 to 3 dozen.
We ice with canned frosting (vanilla) and decorate.
This is a favorite tradition of the Walker twins, dating back 30 years (are we THAT old??)
